Martens and Associates were engaged to undertake water sensitive urban design and associated water quality modelling to support a proposed residential subdivision in Oakdale, NSW. The development discharged into a mapped watercourse and was situated within the Sydney Water Drinking Water Catchment.
Water quality (MUSIC) modelling was required to develop a stormwater quality treatment train that was practical for the developer and Council with regards to construction, installation and ongoing maintenance and achieved neutral or beneficial water quality impacts when compared to ambient conditions. The modelling was also required to comply with stringent Sydney Catchment Authority guidelines, who were also an approval authority.
