Martens were engaged to prepare a traffic assessment for a waste transfer station in Bargo, a small town south of Sydney. The extent of traffic impacts generated by the development was assessed, and local civil works and traffic control measures were designed to improve impacts and improve the local road network.
The waste transfer station was to receive waste for recycling, compaction, recovery, handling of green waste and the crushing of concrete. The traffic study formed part of a development assessment and addressed the concerns of Council and local residents regarding increased volumes of heavy vehicles on the local road network.
