Martens & Associates were engaged to design a constructed wetland for the North Turramurra Golf Course, NSW that would form part of their greater stormwater management scheme, as well as serving an aesthetic purpose.

Martens & Associates were engaged to design a constructed wetland for the North Turramurra Golf Course, NSW that would form part of their greater stormwater management scheme, as well as serving an aesthetic purpose. The site was a former landfill site and had constraints in relation to excavation depths, liner requirements, discharge conditions etc.

2D hydrological modelling was completed to appropriately size the wetland, it’s inlet and outlet. Design was then undertaken based on expected follow regime and in accordance with the Constructed Wetlands Manual (Department of Land and Water Conservation NSW, 1998). Detailed engineering drawings of the wetland were produced providing details of wetland layout, cross sections, inlet and outlet details, liner details and construction specifications. Subsequent works following approval have included detailed design for the tender process and construction supervision.
