Martens were engaged to provide engineering design services for a stormwater capture, treatment and irrigation supply system for the existing Roseville Golf Course, Roseville, NSW. The project used hydrological and hydraulic data and modelling, site survey and golf course irrigation demand analyses, to design minimum requirements for the proposed stormwater treatment, storage and re-use systems.
Roseville is an urban area located in Sydney’s northern suburbs. The locality is largely urban residential development with some residual bushland along drainage lines and several parks and recreational areas. This project consisted of the addition of a storage dam, stormwater capture, treatment and transfer / discharge system adjacent to an existing drainage line running through the subject site and discharging to Middle Harbour. Maintenance of environmental flows and improvement of the quality of urban stormwater discharges to Middle Harbour were key objectives in the engineering design.
